LONDON — Anti-nuclear messages and the phrase “man’s fault” have been sprayed onto at least two of the corpses of the five sperm whales that have washed up on the UK’s shores this week.

A rudimentary CND logo (disowned by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament’s UK branch) and a reference to the Fukushima nuclear power plant damaged by a tsunami in 2011 are among the scrawls.

“RIP” was also written in large white letters on the body of one whale.

Fukushima was spelt wrong, “man’s fault” was short of an apostrophe, and the CND logo was missing part of its designs. Read more…
