SunTrust will try to hush Super Bowl parties across America for 30 seconds with a message about financial stress.

It’s not quite as dreary as it sounds however; the 30-second spot, entitled “Hold your breath,” does compare money problems to drowning, but it also tries to strike a positive note with a reminder that you shouldn’t let them consume you

“It’s like you’re drowning,” the narrator says. “Meanwhile, the moments that matter slip away.”

The commercial is advertising SunTrust’s push to “restore financial confidence” called “Onward and Upward.” According to a survey by the bank, 40% of Americans and 60% of millennials do not have even $2,000 saved for an emergency. Read more…
