The plea of monetary aid came, of course, via Twitter, where Kanye wrote, “Mark Zuckerberg invest 1 billion dollars into Kanye West ideas … after realizing he is the greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time.”
Was Kanye making a prediction or a request? It’s hard to know for sure, but it’s not difficult to interpret it as a veiled request for funding considering it came just a day after Kanye claimed to have “53 million dollars in personal debt.” Read more…
No, Taylor Swift did not approve of Kanye West’s ‘misogynistic message’
Taylor Swift isn’t laughing, apparently.
Despite a report in TMZ, it seems Taylor Swift was not okay with Kanye West’s less-than-complimentary lyrics about her in his new track “Famous.”
Hours after Kanye premiered his new album The Life of Pablo on Thursday, the site reported that Swift was completely aware of the fact that Kanye’s new track included the lyrics “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, I made that bitch famous.” The rapper reportedly called her directly to explain it was a joke, and that Taylor “gave him the thumbs up to release the song with the lyric.”
‘The Life of Pablo’: Here’s what everyone thinks of Kanye West’s latest album
The Life of Pablo is only a few hours old, but everyone already has an opinion about Kanye West’s latest opus
The rapper debuted his seventh studio album at Madison Square Garden during his Yeezy Season 3 fashion show. And — it’s really good, though too soon to measure how it stacks up to his past work. West has preemptively declared it one of the greatest albums of all time and the “album of the life.”
Now that it’s out there, do fans think he’s right? Reactions on social media ranged far and wide, but some are actually daring to call it West’s best album to date
We’ve seen how 3D printing technology has been used to artistically represent the physical world, but only few, like Reify and artist Gilles Azzaro, have explored the ways that sound can also be manifested by 3D printing, too. But what if you were able to own your favorite song or album in the form of ceramic pottery? Well, two artists based in the Netherlands, spatial sound designer Ricky van Broekhoven and designer Olivier van Herpt, have teamed up to make this intriguing idea of evoking sound in 3D a reality.…
People are freaking out about this new David Bowie mural
LONDON — In the days following David Bowie’s death, a beautiful mural of the late, great singer became the focal point for mourning fans. It attracted flowers, candles and messages as people sung songs and shared what he meant to them.
Street artist Jimmy C’s take on photographer Brian Duffy’s iconic photo for the Aladdin Sane cover looked down on fans who came to pay their respects, a fitting tribute to the beloved icon.
Now, several weeks later, another mural has popped up, but it’s not been met with quite the same reaction.
BBC Radio Sheffield drew the wider public’s attention to the new mural by local artist Trik9, and despite their enthusiastic tweet — “Looks brilliant doesn’t it?”— the verdict isn’t good. Read more…

James Corden and Chris Martin are ridiculously lovable in Carpool Karaoke
It’s a well-known fact that karaoke is infinitely more fun when you’re in a car with James Corden, and no one knows this better than Chris Martin.
The Coldplay singer literally looks like he’s about to explode with happiness throughout the epic 15-minute video, which alternates between singing, Martin doing (impressively accurate) celebrity impressions, and talk about the upcoming Super Bowl (Martin has no idea about the rules of American football, by the way.)
