“The clown is all of us.”

LONDON — Bibbledy Bob is running amok. The red-haired buffoon has been caught walking his hot dog in a graveyard and PC Konk is after him with his truncheon.

Up the road, meanwhile, a man in a yellow waistcoat is juggling while balancing on a ball to the strains of “My Way” through a barrel organ. Someone’s parading a rubber duck on a string. The air is thick with hoots and squeaks from a kazoo.

All Saints Church in Haggerston, east London, has been overwhelmed with wackiness. The clowns are in town.

A menagerie of fools gathered, dozens and dozens of them, for the 70th annual Clowns International service in honour of Joseph Grimaldi, the godfather of clowning in England who died in 1837. Read more…

LONDON — Just when you think it can’t be possible for David Beckham to get any cooler, he goes and does something like this.

Not content with being a footballing legend, raising money for charity, and getting the 2015 vote for sexiest man alive, the sculpted ball-kicker went one step further recently when he decided to go above and beyond to help an elderly man being treated by a paramedic at the side of the road in London.

Catherine Maynard, a senior paramedic in London’s Cycle Response Unit, was with an elderly patient when she encountered the former England midfielder. The man had fallen in the road, and Maynard was keeping him warm on the pavement while waiting for an ambulance to take him to the hospital. Read more…

Adele’s (slightly sweary) Carpool Karaoke with James Corden — complete with awesome harmonies, tea spillages and drunken stories — is finally here

The pair sing their hearts out to “Hello”, “Someone Like You” and “All I Ask” as well as the Spice Girl’s “Wannabe” and Nicki Minaj’s verse on “Monster” (where Adele reveals her hidden rap skills).

Driving around rainy London, Adele talks about being drunk three nights in a row (“Cos it was Christmas!”), paying for fans’ dinners, taking on Taylor Swift’s squad (“They’re Amazonian, they’re all so tall”), playing the drums and her love of the Spice Girls… all while trying to drink a cup of tea Read more…
