Thanks to Singaporean budget airline Scoot, passengers onboard a Melbourne flight bound for Singapore got a chance to experience love up in the air just days before Valentine’s Day.

During the eight-hour flight, the crew put on Scoot’s signature 787 Dreamliner rainbow cabin lighting and went down the aisle dancing to Pink’s “Get This Party Started.”

To get passengers in the mood for love, “Lovefool” by The Cardigans was then played over the PA system, reported Daily Mail Australia. Coupled-up passengers were also treated to a lovey-dovey photoshoot, where they got to take pictures with their loved one while posing with cute props that included a handmade “Be my Valentine” frame. This week, commuters travelling on Delhi Metro have been greeted by anti-Valentine’s Day posters asking them to observe Matri-Pitri Pujan Diwas (Parents Worship Day) on Feb. 14, instead of celebrating love.

While the city’s restaurants and shops are rife with Valentine’s Day promotions, it’s hard to miss these advertisements across over 50 Delhi Metro stations. They belong to the Bal Sanskar Kendra, a religious organisation of the self-styled godman Asaram Bapu, who is currently in prison on charges of sexual assaulting a minor girl. Read more…

Kanye West’s fashion shows traditionally serve as platforms to promote equality on the catwalk. Both Yeezy Seasons 1 and 2 sent models from across of the spectrum of skin tones down the runway.

Yeezy Season 3, which also served as the debut of West’s sixth album, The Life of Pablo, at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, was a slightly different story.

His use of mostly black models this year, which seemed to act as commentary on equal rights for African Americans, was accompanied by themes of class separation and hierarchy, whether intentional or not. Read more…

NEW YORK — Kanye West showed us the fashion future tonight.

It was a sight to be seen — one that will certainly go down in history as not only one of the biggest fashion spectacles of all time, but also a concert. Go figure.

It was rapper and fashion designer Kanye West’s Madison Square Garden show on Thursday, which brought together the fashion set, fans and music aficionados alike to celebrate not only his latest collection, Yeezy Season 3, but his seventh studio album, The Life of Pablo.

West, a self-proclaimed musical genius, merged fashion and music — the biggest of his passions — seamlessly in a show that reminded us what fashion shows are all about. And perhaps what they should do more of. That’s entertainment.  Read more…

Mom jeans just got a seriously sexy update.

Levi’s released the “Wedgie Fit Jean” — a pair of pants that claims to flatter your booty like no other.

For spring 2016, the denim company created a silhouette that lifts and holds the cheeks slightly apart giving the wearer — you guessed it — a wedgie. This cut promises to boosts booties for a rounder look, so there’s no more worrying about the flat tush that often accompanies mom jeans

Plus, Kylie Jenner has already made the Wedgie jean Instagram famous.

“The Wedgie was inspired by the way girls were wearing vintage Levi’s,” Jonathan Cheung, senior vice president of Levi’s Global Design, told Mashable. “Just as the 501 CT was inspired by girls wearing the 501 a little bit slouchy, the Wedgie is inspired by girls [who] were downsizing a vintage 505 and wearing it very close and almost vacuum-packed to the rear-ends — hence the affectionate and cheeky name.” Read more…

A young Muslim ballerina wants other girls like her to know they can make a change — no matter their beliefs or the clothes they choose to wear

Stephanie Kurlow, 14, converted to Islam with her Australian father, Russian-born mother and two brothers in 2010. Sadly, her conversion led to her feeling the need to give up ballet. She wanted to wear her hijab to dance classes in the southwest suburbs of Sydney, Australia, where she lives with her family, but she couldn’t find a school who would accept her

“The hijab is so important to me because it’s a part of who I am and represents the beautiful religion that I love,” Kurlow told Mashable Australia. “If people have the right to dress down then I have the right to dress up and my hijab is my expression of love to my creator and I believe it covers my body but not my mind, heart and talent.” Read more…
