NEW YORK — Lego has been cranking out Star Wars-themed sets for years, but the latest ones from the new Force Awakens film haven’t been seen in its full glory until now.

Lego is showing off scenes and characters from the blockbuster movie at the 2016 Toy Fair in New York City this weekend, and Mashable got an early look at the designs

More than 10 characters from the movie have received the Lego mini-figure treatment, including Kylo Ren, First Order Snowtroopers, Resistance Troopers, Maz Kanata, Admiral Ackbar, General Leia Organa and, of course, a teeny tiny BB-8. And we thought the life-sized BB-8 was cool. Read more…

After a year of campaigning, the first votes of the 2016 primary season were finally cast in the Iowa caucuses. And that means it was finally time to record the first results … in Lego bricks.

Everything was awesome for Ted Cruz, who won the GOP caucuses. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders were interlocked in a virtual tie. We tracked it all on our two #LegoIowa maps. (Here are the full results.)

A year before Star Wars: The Force Awakens started shattering every box office record in Hollywood, Lego enthusiast Marshal Banana decided to recreate the film’s version of the Millennium Falcon.

The result: a 7,500-piece Lego creation that measures almost three feet long and weighs 22 pounds.

Banana spent a year gathering pieces, finalizing the design and assembling it all. He managed to include lights for the engines and top/bottom-mounted gun turrets, as well as a fully modeled cockpit and functional boarding ramp.
