Jake Epping hears these words over and over again throughout the nearly 90-minute premiere episode of the new time-travel thriller 11.22.63 — and after a while, it starts to feel like the statement is meant for more than just the hero at the heart of the show.

On several levels, 11.22.63 feels like an unlikely beast. It’s based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name, adapted by J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot production company, starring the debatably too-prolific James Franco, and released on … Hulu? Report: The CW looking to launch a stand-alone streaming service

LOS ANGELES — Another day, another (potential) streaming service.

According to a Bloomberg report published on Monday, The CW — a joint venture between Warner Bros. and CBS Corp. — has plans to launch its own streaming service

The news of the potential stand alone service comes as The CW’s deals with Hulu, Netflix and Tribune Media Co. are almost up.

The network already gives fans access to a handful of shows and originals on CW Seed, a digital entertainment offshoot The CW launched three years ago. CBS also has CBS All Access and Time Warner has HBO Now. Read more…
